Why I keep Bringing People To Sacred Sites

About ten years ago, I answered my soul's calling.

I hosted my very first leadership retreat.

And I fell in love immediately.

I fell in love with both parts: the vision and the process of bringing it into reality.

Seeing people's smiles.

The moments of connection.

The epiphanies and breakthroughs.

That childlike happiness that appears when grown adults find themselves somewhere extraordinary, far outside the rhythms of their ordinary lives.

There is always a moment on every journey when I look around at the people who have gathered and say to myself:

It is worth it. This is why I do this.

Because let me tell you — creating a successful international retreat takes a TON of work.

There are a thousand details behind what eventually looks effortless in the photographs.

And yet, I keep doing it.

I love bringing people together.

I love traveling to places of ancient spiritual power and sharing them with incredible souls.

I love watching what happens when we step outside our familiar environments and enter a place shaped by prayer, pilgrimage, devotion, and mystery for hundreds—sometimes thousands—of years.

Recently, I went through photographs from retreats and gatherings I have hosted over the last decade.

I shared 18 of these photographs on Instagram — a little journey through the years.

And looking through them reminded me of something:

Spiritual travel changes you.

Every single time.

You don't return home quite the same person who left.

You see your life through new eyes.

But I should also warn you...

These pilgrimages ask something of you.

They require commitment. Investment. Preparation. A good attitude. Openness. A willingness to leave some of your preferences and comforts behind.

And they require the willingness to become part of a group.

This is why I personally meet every applicant before they travel with me.

I care deeply about the field we create together.

I want each person to come ready to bring their best self, participate, contribute, be curious—and grow and expand together.

And now, Bhutan is calling.

Interestingly, I first heard about Bhutan while hiking the Inca Trail.

One of my retreat attendees turned to me mid-hike and said:

"Watching how much you love Peru, I think Bhutan would touch your soul in the most profound ways."

She told me about ancient monasteries.

People with warm hearts and unhurried eyes.

A rhythm of life that doesn't simply slow you down — it heals you.

Months later, another synchronicity.

A dear friend — a lifelong meditator and global traveler whose discernment I trust deeply — shared photographs from Bhutan.

Later, at a gathering for leaders, I heard him speak about Enlightened Leadershipas he had witnessed it there.

He described a culture where leadership and inner development aren't seen as separate.

And I remember sitting there thinking:

Are you telling me a place like this still exists?

A country where wisdom matters.

Where consciousness matters.

I knew I needed to experience it.

And I knew I wanted to bring people with me.

So in March 2027, around the Spring Equinox, I am bringing a small group of leaders and seekers into the Himalayas.

Ancient monasteries. Spring Equinox. Wildflowers beginning to emerge. Meditation. Sacred sites. And the pilgrimage to Tiger's Nest, perched impossibly against the mountain.

This isn't simply an exciting vacation.

I see it as a moving meditation.

An immersion that touches every layer of your being — from the earth beneath your feet to the vision that opens at the summit.

And there is something important I want you to know:

We have 50 days left to reserve your place.

Bhutan will happen when the right group comes together. We need a minimum number of travelers to make this pilgrimage a reality.
